Chris Hendrix is the founder and president of Valhalla Deck and Patio, a North Atlanta deck company built on honest communication, engineering-first design, and a NADRA-certified in-house crew. Chris served 20 years in the U.S. Army, an experience that shaped the values driving everything he does today: humility, integrity, grit, and respect. He and his wife Debbie, whom he met during his years of service, are raising four children together, and the family-first mindset they live by at home extends to every client they work with. From 2019 to 2021, Chris also served as a volunteer firefighter with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, reflecting his commitment to the community he now calls home.
After leaving the Army, Chris moved into residential construction management, first as a Construction Manager at LGI Homes, overseeing new home construction across five Atlanta-area communities, then as a Construction Manager and later as a Senior Construction Manager at PulteGroup, where he supervised single- and multifamily projects and mentored other construction managers. He holds an MBA from Fayetteville State University, a Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and a current Georgia Residential/Light Commercial Contractor license. He invests in ongoing training and puts his crew through NADRA certifications, holding himself and his team to a higher standard.
Valhalla serves homeowners throughout the North Atlanta metro area, specializing in high-end, custom outdoor living spaces, including decks, pergolas, and porches. Chris leads a dedicated in-house crew with no subcontracting of core work, and keeps clients informed with daily updates during construction and weekly updates through permitting. The company uses premium materials from TimberTech/AZEK, Deckorators, and Fortress Building Products.
